During hours of cross-examination Thursday, defense attorney Todd Blanche pressed former Trump attorney Michael Cohen for hours with questions that focused as much on his misdeeds as on the case’s specific allegations. North Korea test-fires suspected missiles a day after US and South Korea conduct a fighter jet drill
North Korea has fired suspected short-range ballistic missiles off its east coast a day after South Korea and the U.S. flew powerful fighter jets in a drill that the North views as a major security threat. South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff says the launches were made from the North’s east coast on Monday afternoon. North Korea in recent months has extended its weapons testing as part of its efforts to enlarge and modernize its military capabilities while diplomacy with the United States and South Korea remains stalled. Observers say North Korea likely believes an upgraded weapons arsenal would give it leverage to win greater concessions from the U.S. if negotiations resume.

The national police information service said the man surged toward officers with a knife and a metal bar and that an officer opened fire, fatally wounding the man. Rouen's mayor said the man is thought to have climbed onto a trash container to the first floor of the synagogue and thrown “a sort of Molotov cocktail” inside. Tensions and anger have grown in France over the Israel-Hamas war and antisemitic acts have surged.
